autoChalk is capable of scanning 2 vehicles per second while driving at speeds up to 60 km/h (35 mph). If you could line up 7200 vehicles back to back, autoChalk could scan them within an hour.

An audible alarm alerts the driver that there is a potential violation or vehicle of interest. The driver then safely pulls over, and verifies the potential violations.

autoChalk Mobile uses Tannery Creek’s patented “size, shape color” technology to match vehicles at specific GPS locations. This new and innovative technique can detect vehicles even when a license plate is not visible.
We are aware that many people try to thwart the system by covering their license plates or perhaps they have accidentally covered their plate with a bike rack? Either way, autoChalk will detect them.

autoChalk Mobile can be configured to “audit” the vehicles without plates visible in whatever interval is required: every non-read? Every third non-read? It’s up to you how you want to customize your enforcement.
In the end, autoChalk detects over 99.9% of all vehicles on the road so you can be assured that all vehicles are logged and accounted for.

Geofencing and GIS in general are an important part of parking enforcement, as no two areas necessarily have the same parking rules. Using autoChalk Office, your city or area can be zoned down to as small as a space, each of these zones having their own parking policy.Then, when your enforcement staff are out scanning vehicles, autoChalk Mobile will automatically detect which zone it is in and which policy to apply in real-time. autoChalk’s zones can be converted to and from Google Earth/Maps format, to easily review the zones in your area.

Whether your hot lists are stolen vehicles, stolen plates or scofflaw autoChalk can import and find those vehicles. autoChalk works on as many lists as you like simultaneously including white lists. Tannery Creek’s license plate recognition (LPR) engine works equally well on both reflective and non-reflective plates to get you the hits you need.

White lists come in many forms from residential parking permits (RPP), to wheelchairs, to VIPs, all of which are free to park in their respective areas. autoChalk is capable of handling all of these simultaneously along with hot lists. Tannery Creek’s license plate recognition (LPR) engine works equally well on both reflective and non-reflective plates to ensure those that do not deserve a ticket are weeded out.
